What
is an au pair?
An au pair is a young, unmarried person, aged 18-26 who lives with a family
abroad, for a period of 2-3 months up to 2 years, in order to improve a foreign
language and to experience a new culture.
An au pair should be treated as part of the family, eat with them and have their
own bedroom.
An au pair is not a trained nanny, and not a domestic servant or housekeeper.
